My Approach
Children and adolescents communicate in many different ways. Some express themselves most naturally through play—using toys, stories, and imagination to explore their inner world. Others may prefer to build, draw, or create while we talk, using artistic expression as a bridge to their thoughts and feelings. And some young people feel most at ease speaking directly, engaging in conversation from the start.
In our work together, I follow your child’s lead. I tailor the therapeutic approach to their age, personality, interests, and emotional needs—ensuring that every child has a meaningful and developmentally appropriate way to connect.
Play is the language of the young child, and in the therapy room, it becomes a powerful tool for growth and healing. For adolescents, who may be navigating complex emotional and social worlds, I offer a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where they can reflect, gain insight, and strengthen their ability to cope and relate.
My approach is grounded in developmental theory, attachment-informed care, and evidence-based practices, with a deep respect for the role of family and environment in a child’s emotional life. I work closely with parents when appropriate, and provide guidance and support to help you feel empowered in your role as a caregiver.
